We note what Jesus and John said about prayer.  On one occasion, Jesus' disciples asked Him to teach them to pray.  We look at the model prayer that He provided to them and note each part of that prayer. Jesus mentioned holding God in reverence and the fact that so many do not do that. Jesus mentions the kingdom and we discuss how that relates to today's Christians. Jesus prayed to God the night before He was crucified. We note what He said at that most difficult time in His life. The necessities of life are mentioned also. We talk about that aspect of our prayers. Forgiveness of sins is next. We look at David's prayer to God after he had sinned in the matter with Bathsheba. Temptation and deliverance from evil is mentioned by Jesus. We discuss what Paul said about this. and what we should do. Take about 30-minutes to listen in on our discussion.
