Listen "Pt. 1 - Paving The Way with Pauline Heimuli"
Episode Synopsis
On this episode, we are honored to have Pauline Grace Heimuli on this platform to share her story with everyone.
In this episode, we dive into her family background and how she came to love Jiu Jitsu which led her to wrestling. She gave her very best everyday with her parents' guidance, listened to her coaches, learned from her teammates, and grinded her way to State, placing 2nd at Districts and Regionals, with wins and losses 1:2 at State championships. Falling in love with the sport early on, she was taught hard work, discipline, and good character from her classmates and mentors and today, she is given the opportunity to meet amazing people and go places where she can learn not only martial arts, but about herself as well.
As a Tongan student, wrestler, musician, artist, woman, sister, and daughter, she finds the pride of her people driving her in everything she does. It is with the great faith, strength, passion, and integrity of the Pacific Islands that she perseveres through tribulation with courage and honor. At the same time, it is her faith in God and in herself that humbles her and gives her the humility to rely on those around her, so that she may not fight alone.
Stay tuned to hear about the musical aspect of Pauline and her passion for Music therapy next Monday!
