In this episode Daeryun talks about the great Korean Actor Choi Min-sik, the star of the Park Chanwook classic "Old Boy." Daeryun introduces his favorite Choi Min-sik movies and it's not what you think. The cited movies may not be well known outside of Korea and discuss their meaning in the social context of the country where it was made -here being South Korea. Movies are a reflection of a society and need to be understood from the broader context. Sadly foreign viewers are not privy to that and that is the motivation for this Videocast/Podcast which discusses concepts such as formal language and social hierarchy.
The talk also includes a short biography of Choi Min-sik, his rise to stardom and life-long friendship with actor Han Sukkyu. It will be the first of many Videocasts/Podcasts that discuss the talents of people in the entertainment field from all over the globe.
