We watched the HBO original series “Sort Of” in July 2022. We didn’t realize until episode 7 or 8 that the show is set in Toronto; it could just as easily be a U.S. city. If you’re still on the fence about watching this show, it just won Best Comedy Series (Canadian Screen Awards), Bilal Baig won Best Writing in a Comedy Series (for the first episode), and Jessica Carter and Steve Newburn won Best Makeup (for the last episode); and others were nominated for many more.
