Chance T. Aken is leads a solitary life in a strange town. When he sees a flyer for a local book club, he jumps at the chance to meet up with new people who also enjoy a good book or at least like pretending to enjoy a good book. A few phone calls a quick shift at the water refining facility later and he's face to face with a group of people who may just want to use him as a sacrifice to a forgotten god. They may also like his company. Only time will tell.
