580 WCHS brings you full, street-level coverage of the 2025 Charleston Christmas Parade, presented by Charleston Riverfront Watersports, as Chris Lawrence, Lisa Otey, and Steve Bishop guide listeners through one of the city’s most beloved holiday traditions. From the Charleston Police Department’s motorcycle escort to marching bands, dance troupes, first responders, local businesses, civic groups, and a record number of Grinches, the team captures every moment with warmth, humor, and community pride. Along the route they interview Chief Scott Dempsey, parade performers, city officials, and Mayor Amy Goodwin, who surprises the crowd by dancing the full parade with Capitol High’s troupe. The night ends with Santa’s arrival and a joyful sign-off from the WCHS crew—another classic holiday night in the Capital City.
