Episode Synopsis
Deuteronomy 28:16-68 speaks of the curse of the law. What does that curse say about children. 28:32 - Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand. 28:41 – Thou shall beget sons and daughters, but thou shall not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. In this fallen world many children are being taken captive by drugs, alcohol and perversions. As children of God, we as their parents have the authority in the name of Jesus to order Satan out of their lives. When we see the first warning signs of rebellion in them, we need to begin to pray and confess the promises of God over them and refuse to give the devil any room to operate. It is our responsibility as parents to stand against the forces of hell on their behalf.
I have had many trials as a Mom with my children. Receive prophetic words over both of my children before they were even born. They received prayer from conception. God gave us their names, raised in the church we were taught how to live by faith and miracles happened on a regular basis, baptized, received their prayer language with evidence of speaking in tongues, went to Christian schools. You name it and we were doing everything we knew to teach, love and protect our kids.
At the age of around 13 our son got into trouble with the law which was a minor innocent being a boy thing but ended up in the juvenile detention center as a result. After this incident, it was one thing after another. There have been trials with drugs, alcohol bad relationships with girls. He served jail time several times got into a bad relationship with a girl whose whole intent was to ruin his life. They had a son out of wedlock and that was 4-1/2 years of a living hell and we are finally seeing a turn around for good in that situation. Our daughter also went through rebellion and a turning away from the Lord. She became pregnant and had a child out of wedlock at the age of 20. We walked through that situation and after a year of marriage, there was a divorce due to the fathers addiction to drugs.
I can say that for years, I was reluctant to even answer the phone because of the bad news I would hear. All through this time, we prayed and rebuked the devil and commanded him to take his hands off of our children. We spoke the word over them and did all we knew to do. One thing I have learned, you never give up on your children. They are your seed. As a result of being in a spiritual battle it seemed continually for so long, I ended up in the emergency room twice. The doctor diagnosed it as stress and advised me that whatever was going on, I needed to make some changes in my life. From that day forward, I made the decision to block the person who would call me and harass me concerning my grandson. I saw that I had been walking in fear of what this person was going to do next to try and destroy our family.
One of my children is happily married and loves and serves the Lord and has children. One of my children I am still standing firm and believing God for total surrender to come. It has been
about 21 years of believing God. I have submitted my children under God’s mighty hand and continue to pray and believe God for His will to be accomplished in their lives.
Scriptures to stand on for your children:
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.
Proverbs 11:21 – The seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
