Dan Ariely is a Professor of Business Administration and a founding member of the Center for Advanced Hindsight at Duke University. A renowned expert in behavioral economics, he researches the irrational ways people behave and explains these concepts in simple language. From June 2012 to September 2022, he wrote the advice column Ask Ariely for The Wall Street Journal. Dan is the author of three New York Times bestselling books: Predictably Irrational, The Upside of Irrationality, and The Honest Truth About Dishonesty. He is also the co-founder of several companies that apply behavioral science insights to real-world challenges.
