In this 12th episode of Voices in Miami, we meet Matteo Wakeman! ​​Matteo is one of Breakthrough Miami’s most dedicated volunteers.  He focuses his advocacy on educational opportunities with his service teaching under resourced middle schoolers in the Miami area at Breakthrough. Along with many other student volunteers from Gulliver Preparatory, Matteo focuses on teaching and reinforcing Breakthrough scholars’ academic fundamentals from mathematics to social sciences, as well as electives ranging from Chess to Personal Finance through this students-teaching-students program.
