This Sunday’s Voices from the Mountain message drew from Ezekiel 8:12 and carried the theme: “You Can’t Do Wrong and Get By.” The teaching reminded listeners that Israel repeatedly turned from God, hiding sin in the dark while still performing outward rituals, but God sees all. The prophet Ezekiel was shown how the people’s secret abominations led to God’s glory departing from the sanctuary. The message emphasized that sin cannot be excused or hidden—eventually it will be exposed, because God is light and in Him is no darkness. It warned against using “I’m just human” as a crutch, against worshiping traditions instead of God Himself, and against searing our conscience by repeated disobedience. The heart of the sermon was clear: repentance and humility bring mercy, but ignoring conviction leads to judgment. Ultimately, the call was for soul-searching, honesty before God, and living in the light, because no one can do wrong and get by.
