In the October 19, 2025 evening message titled “You Can’t Do Wrong and Get By,” Pastor Jesse Lockhart preached from Song of Solomon 2:10–13, using the bridegroom’s call — “Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away” — to urge believers to awaken from spiritual coldness. He described the present day as a “winter” season where iniquity abounds, love has grown cold, and many think they can live in sin without consequence. Citing Galatians 6:7 and Numbers 32:23, he reminded listeners that sin always comes to light — no one “does wrong and gets by.” Lockhart contrasted today’s selfish, loveless world with the fellowship and love that come only through walking in the light of Christ. He warned against twisting Scripture for personal comfort and called for full submission to God’s Word. Closing with 1 Thessalonians 4, he encouraged the church to look up, for “the winter is past,” and Christ’s return is near — the Bridegroom will soon call, “Arise, my love, and come away.”
