Summary:Chad first went to Africa chasing an ex-fiancé but instead discovered Orphan Relief and Rescue (ORR), where he became deeply moved by the devastation and orphan crisis following Liberia’s civil war. During his 3.5-month stay, he joined rescue missions, met the founders, and realized that while he wasn’t called to live in Africa, he was meant to be a voice and supporter for the children there. Upon returning home, he rallied friends to raise $50,000 for ORR, beginning a long journey of advocacy and fundraising since 2007.
