During this episode, Montereau President and CEO, Scott Nield, visits with Joy McGill. Joy serves as Oklahoma's Advocacy Director for AARP. During this discussion, they will visit about Tulsa working towards earning an "Age-Friendly City" designation, the importance of community engagement and programming, and how she prioritizes her own vitality.  Joy McGill serves as AARP Oklahoma's advocacy director, where she has worked since 2017. With her experience as a policy advocate, she spearheads AARP Oklahoma's advocacy initiatives on a wide range of issues including family caregiving, long-term care, prescription drugs, healthcare, utilities, guardianship, financial security, fraud prevention and more. Additionally, McGill actively collaborates with volunteers and the community-at-large, sharing resources to effectively advocate for the issues that affect the lives of seniors.
