The bright JESUS CARES sign that hung high on the tall Macon Rescue Mission building for so many years in downtown Macon GA always got my attention.  To me it was more than a sign. It was a pronoucement of a truth that I had been taught all my life. If nobody else cares, Jesus does. He always has and he always will.  And Macon Georgia seemed to be proud of it.  For many years, the Macon Rescue Mission was a homeless shelter. In the name of Christ, the mission provided shelter and basic needs for those who had no place to sleep. It was a good thing and represented all that was good in Macon and Middle Georgia. But times have changed. Several years ago, the leaders of the mission made a decision to do more - much more. They decided to offer a program to give hope to the exponentially growing number of people who have lost all hope and they took a huge leap of faith.  My guest is Pat Chastain, the President and CEO of the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia.   If you or your loved one is at the end of the rope and desperate for help, this episode is for you.
