Aly Khan ("AK") Johnson is one of the most accomplished coaches in the history of Northern Virginia, being seven times Washington Post Coach of the Year for track. Coach Johnson takes us on his incredible life journey, from joining his own North Carolina high school football coach, "Remember the Titans" Herman Boone, on the TC Williams football coaching staff in 1972, the year after the legendary season, through himself becoming one of NOVA's most decorated coaches, to his work as an athletic director at TC and later Waldorf's North Point HS. We discuss playing for and coaching with Coach Boone and also the many great track athletes and events he touched in an extraordinary career.
