Listen "Mental Health in Asian American Populations"
Episode Synopsis
Thank you Rebecca Lee, OMS III for developing this topic. Thank you Kodee Rasmussen, OMS III, and Christopher Sauceda, OMS III for participating in this podcast. This is a modest yield podcast in terms of principles discussed that help prepare for the shelf exam. That happens largely up front. It does review the diagnosis of depression and speaks to the challenges of recognition, diagnosis and treatment of Asian American Patients with a focus on Chinese American Immigrants. Of note, a new mnemonic is presented: DICES GAPS to improve depression recognition in question stems.
