Episode Synopsis "Episode 138: URBAN CHART HITS - 1000 W.E. APR 6 2025"

1000th EDITION SPECIAL !! Launched in early 2006 as The Official R&B Chart Hits, later becoming Urbancharthits.com – this week the show celebrates its 1000th edition, and over 19 years on the air.    Urban Chart Hits was originally heard on a handful of independent commercial stations in Queensland and NSW before getting picked up by Macquarie Regional Radio (Now SCA). It was aired on all Sea, Star and Hot FM hit music stations nationally on a Sunday night from 10pm. 65 stations in total. Later, Urban Chart Hits became a Grant’s production, heard nationally coast to coast via the Grants Broadcasting Network.  Then in 2019, the brand, show and website were purchased by Costello Investment Holdings and continued in its current format until now.  Listener interactive: In today’s online world the show maintains its listener interactive focus, collecting votes via the urbancharthits.com website, and interacting with listeners via online social media channels, driving loyalty and listenership.   For media and subscription enquiries: [email protected]
