Listen "Black Lives Conversation with Women in Bi-racial families"
Episode Synopsis
#UpYourConfidence Episode#1 -Black Lives Conversation with Women in Bi-racial families.
Today I am excited to bring to you this meaningful conversation for and by women that equip, empower, and elevate us to live our God-given potential.
I did not know that our first episode for #upYourConfidence will be about this topic but here we are sometimes you have to meet the moment.
Two weeks ago, I made a video on YouTube about how I felt about what has been going on the modern-day lynching for 8:46 min. I thought I was done, about this. I believe we are in a moment of inflection, and that we need to speak up and speak out, about this system of oppression, racism, and covert white supremacy behaviors all black people have been experimenting with. But I believe that the people that will help us are white women and white people. And last weekend, I saw a tweet and video of Serena William’s husband giving up his seat as CEO of his company. I just love it and it got me thinking and wondering how do women in bi-racial relationships have this conversation with their partner and with their families. Interesting June 12th was Loving day, it has only been only 53 years that biracial marriage has been approved by the supreme court.
