Listen "City Council and Advocates Rally for Safer Streets"
Episode Synopsis
Advocates, city council members, and community leaders gathered today at City Hall to encourage funding for a plan for more protected bike lanes and bus lanes, and for stricter enforcement of traffic laws. Mayor Adams declined to find the plan in his preliminary 2023 budget. Advocates say the 3.1 billion dollar plan could significantly improve safety on New York streets.
