There’s hope for you. And because of you, there’s hope for the rest of us. Jesus sends you as a sign and an agent of God’s kingdom. How does this happen? He told the twelve disciples that they would do the same things he did, only greater (John 14:12). This would be crazy to consider if Jesus didn’t have an idea for how someone like
you or me or one of the twelve could become someone like him, but he did. The idea? Apprenticeship. Jesus took a dozen followers, three years, and day-to-day lives and transformed ordinary men into apostles. The gospels tell us how this happened in the first
century, the Apostles’ Creed outlines how it occurred in the second, and it’s happening still—as each of us walks forth in belief and purpose each day.

This week we examine what it means to believe. Jesus speaks, so I listen and do what God says.
