Brad Trussel, TCU Fab Lab
In this series we engage Makers from all areas of the maker movement to share how successful makerspaces' have forged their story. Makerspaces are unique to their community, and grow based on those who use them.
The TCU Fab Lab is a digital fabrication laboratory located on the first floor of the TCU Mary Couts Burnett Library. The Fab Lab offers multiple 3D printers, a high definition 3D scanner, a large scale plotter, and a laser cutter/engraver. Additionally, the Fablab provides a number of other pieces of equipment for making including VR equipment, camera checkouts, and more.
Brad Trussel works at Texas Christian University where he runs the TCU library Fab Lab as an Innovation Collaborator . He is a University of North Texas alum and received his masters from Learning Technologies at Discovery Park. He works with students and faculty using technology to help complete projects, make prototypes, and generally solve problems. He also has experience with audio visual technologies.
