Sacred Santa Leddy Hammock
Mindful of Santa Claus – a symbol of the sacredness of generosity and lovingkindness – I am aware of the presence of God.
As I think of Santa’s sack of goodies, I think of the timeless value of welcoming the stranger, sharing in forgiveness and peace, and opening the heart in joy and delight.
The “visit of St. Nicholas” and the “gifts of the Magi” happen for me every time inner wisdom honors the newborn Christ in my soul.
Just as children hang their stockings at Christmas, trusting they will be filled with good things, I give thanks in advance for the blessings God has for me this Christmas season.
