Living From the Super-consciousness
Hey U-nity,
Living From the Super-consciousness
“Acceptance”
Acceptance, for me, is twofold. Part of it is coming to terms that things happened, AND, no longer trying to make them not have happened.
So much of our misery is from trying to make our lives not have happened. We stay angry at our parents for their mistakes and even abuse as if that will somehow justify our upset. For me, I was going to stay upset until they made it not have happened. Then I found out they couldn’t. You wouldn’t think that could take thirty years to realize, but it did. For some of us, it takes longer. For others, it never happens and they spend their lives burdened by hate and confusion. And then there are a few of us who understand that good things can come from every upset if we allow it, and they realize it early on.
Acceptance is not seeking to change what happened but to accept that it did, and to even accept that I think this way about it, and then to seek the counsel of Spirit as to what True thoughts I could have about it. This way, the story will be gone and positive results can be revealed.
Let’s go ahead and work with things this way from now on.
In the acceptance of life and seeking God’s influence about it,
Rev. Shawn
