Living From the Super-consciousness
"We Can't Just Talk About It "
Hey Unity,
It’s easy to quote spiritual teachers. We can spout off on all of the spiritual wisdom we have heard. We can forward wise articles from spiritual leaders that we admire. That will not make us spiritual or spirit-filled. As David Friedman writes in his song “We Can Be Kind”, “It’s not enough to talk about it. It’s not enough to sing a song. We must walk the walk about it…”
We must put our spirituality into practice. We must put feet to our beliefs and be the example of what we think we believe. We must, we must, we must. We cannot actually believe in our spiritual principles if we are not proving them true all of the time. It’s not enough for me if you are having healings and extraordinary things happening. I must also be having healings, spiritual, mental and physical in order to KNOW that what we speak of is true and accurate. It’s wonderful to witness what we call miracles, but unless I’m also experiencing them, I think miracles are only for other people.
I need to be able to share my own experience with healing in all of its many forms in order to testify of the power of the Invisible.
So, before you share someone else’s wisdom, look for your own. It will be much more powerful. We can’t just talk about spirit, we must be spirit in action.
Please don’t ever decide that “This is the only way to think about it.”
All the Best for Today,
Rev. Shawn
