Emily Esposito always dreamed of playing basketball in college.  She worked and sacrificed and didn’t notice losing herself in the process.  Emily struggled with identity, depression, and had to make difficult decisions in order to find herself and her voice.  Now Emily is sharing her story and encouraging other collegiate athletes to do the same.  As she says, “You can’t tell your story before it happens, but that doesn’t mean you can’t write it as you go and make it what you want.” She founded EmPowerment with the desire that athlete would find support around their story through an online, blogs, testimonies, mentoring, and community.  She is working to give future college athletes the supportive community she wish she had.
