And we've all had those requests for an extra 'friends and family' discount that can feel a bit deflating. It can be hurtful and confusing—why don't buyers value our work?This is a complex topic to unpack, but the first step could be understanding that there are actually a wide range of art markets (that is, many different types of art buyers who have different purchasing needs and motivations) available to us.
