Part 4 Preparation - Join Tracy as she connects with Jenny Dwyer on Phase 2 EMDR Preparation.
In the preparation phase, the therapist prepares the client for the journey ahead based on Phase 1 History, they explain the EMDR therapy process, terms, and sets expectations. Internal Resources are awakened and the mechanics of EMDR prepared. Any client concerns and questions are addressed and a safe therapeutic alliance between therapist and client is continued. The therapist and client collaborate to prepare specific techniques to enable the client to hold dual awareness.
