Listen "Jennifer Had to Break from Helping Others to Help Herself Survive Cancer "
Episode Synopsis
College. Career. Cancer. That's what we're talking about in this week's episode.
If you're a parent of a child in high school, you'll want to listen up to learn how to start prepping your child for their future, whether that includes college, trade school, or jumping right into a career. Jennifer Severini-Kresock of NEPA Career and College Counseling Associates talks about the work she does to help young people prepare. She does everything from assessing students' interests and strengths to help them narrow down career options to helping them write a professional email and compelling college essay so they can stand out in the high competition out there. Jennifer's services are invaluable to help young people on the path that's right for them.
Then our conversation takes a serious turn. I admit that it's almost like a separate episode, but I wanted Jennifer to share her story so that other women will consider the importance of their health. Jennifer admits that she didn't always like going to the doctor, but when things got so bad that she could not ignore them, she finally went to the doctor and learned that she had life-threatening ovarian cancer. Hear Jennifer's story of faith, family and friends who helped get her through the most difficult of days. And remember to put your health first!
Reach out to Jennifer through her website or call her at 570-702-5700 if you want help for your child to start planning for their future, or if you're a woman with a health scare who is interested in a supportive ear and hope from someone who has been through it and has come out through the other lighter side.
