“Talk to your pediatrician.” It’s the advice parents hear frequently when they have a concern about their child. However, no one tells you how to bring up these concerns or what to look for in the pediatrician’s response. In this episode, Marshall Lerman, MD discusses tips for finding a pediatrician that fits your family and bringing up concerns with your doctor, while empowering you to become a strong advocate for your children. Dr. Lerman received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his pediatric residency training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He graduated with highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in government and a minor in business administration. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center where he made law review, serving as an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.
