Welcome back to episode 5 of the UCET podcast, where we talk about all things Utah, education, and technology. In this episode, we are focusing on how to plan and provide professional learning experiences for a grade-level team, department, school, or professional conference, and how teachers can find the best professional learning for themselves. We have two guests on this episode, Daron Kennett, the Professional Learning Supervisor for Davis School District, and Rob Bentley, a UEN instructor. Over the course of this episode, we discuss the following questions:How can teachers use professional learning to rejuvenate their love of the profession?Why do teachers engage in professional learning? Why do you?What makes for excellent and/or effective professional learning for teachers? What are some challenges to designing good professional learning for teachers?At the end of the episode, we discussed the future of professional learning and how teachers can take ownership of their own professional development.
