Tahoe Toogee, as he's called, has lived in the Tahoe area for forty years and has participated in hundreds of active bear evictions/aversions.  He also has over a thousand hours of training in rehabbing rescued black bears. Toogee has been featured in a BBC wildlife documentary, an NPR podcast, and was the field guide for Corey Arnold, a National Geographic photographer working on a story about urbanized wildlife published in the July 2022 issue of Nat Geo.Toogee highly recommends bearwise.org as a source for learning about co-existing with black bears.
