Listen "80: Cool Hand Luke (1967) and Bronson (2008)"
Episode Synopsis
Text Matt & Adam!Prison is the theme this week. "Cool Hand Luke" (1967) is a classic Paul Newman film about a lovable ne'er do well's life in a Florida chain gang prison that Adam loved from the opening scene. "Luke" lost to "In the Heat of the Night" for Best Picture, and both M&A think it was a travesty of justice. "Bronson" (2008) is the story of Charles Bronson, Britain's most famous and violent prisoner. Matt thought there wasn't enough back story and the violence was a little repetitious, but thinks the uniqueness of the screenplay and Tom Hardy's performance make the film worth watching. #prisonfilms #prisonmovies #tomhardy #paulnewmanNext, Summer is on our minds with Breaking Away (1979) and Adventure Land (2009).Thanks for listening!Did we get something wrong?
