Text Matt & Adam!"Messed up mentors" is this week's theme. "Wonder Boys" (2000) has its issues but was an undeserving  box office flop. A lot going on but could actually have been longer if a couple characters had been fleshed out. We agree with one RT critic:"there's a lot to like in this fine mess of a film".  Sean Connery plays a J.D. Salinger type  in "Finding Forrester" (2000), a film about mentoring, without much of it.  Worth a look, but not director Gus Van Sant's best work.Next 'on the lam' films with Steve McQueen in "The Getaway" (1972) and 'Midnight Special" (2016).Thanks for listening!Did we get something wrong?
