Often, “Feeling Alone” is due to the absence of friendships or the loss of them. Having a sense of belonging is a human’s basic need. While there’s enticement to feel alone hitting us from many directions, Jesus invites us to a lasting relationship with Him. Once we belong to Him, we can have confidence He will stand by us. The Apostle Paul, for example (2 Timothy 4:16-18), found that some friends may abandon us, but those who love the Lord can trust that He will never leave.
