As we start another week in lockdown 2.0 here in England I chat with Sophie McCormack. This is the first of a 2 parter, the second of which will be released next week. I hope this sets the scene a little as to who Sophie is and where she's come from after a horse riding accident a few years ago. I met Sophie right at the start of my time at uni. While waiting for a group ride I saw this person pushing their bike down the hill. Clearly upset she said explained how she had just got this bike but it was broken. All that needed doing was the chain hooking on but I guess that never happens with horses. Personally I find Sophie a huge inspiration, both in what she has overcome but also her outlook, drive and will to succeed, something which we touch upon this episode that may not always be healthy.
