We are excited to introduce The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963, a historical fiction novel about an African American family from Flint, Michigan.
In The Watsons we are transported into the lives of an African American family of the 60's, woven together by themes of faith, love, and resilience. Through the lens of this unique family and their intertwining stories, we explore the universal truths that unite us as children of God while honoring the unique journeys that shape each character.
In Episode one of this season we talk to Karoline Moore, a fourth grade teacher at Trinity. Shaun Satterfield and Karoline discuss the first three chapters of the book exploring the themes of family dynamics, classism, bullying, and friendship.
