Listen "Outsmart the Enemy with Wisdom from Christ - James 3:13-18 - 18th Sunday after Pentecost - September 22, 2024"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textThanks for joining us! Listen in to see how important it is to rethink what we think "wisdom" is, and how to gain it. Note how we need to alter our reasons for wanting things in life. We are all ambitious in different ways. How do you succeed? Why do you want success? See how Jesus is the ultimate example of being a servant, not needing others to see him as superior, but constantly serving others. All of us have the opportunity daily to minister to others and do everything with others in mind! If you're local, come on by! We're located at 3800 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX 79904. Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
