Listen "I'd Rather Be A Slave"
Episode Synopsis
Truth & Knowledge: Episode 16 – "I'd Rather Be a Slave" In this episode, Trey Knowles expresses a powerful conviction: he would rather be a slave to righteousness than to evil. He reflects on the reality that true freedom doesn't come from following our own will, but from surrendering to a greater purpose. Trey acknowledges that without obedience, there is no direction—and we cannot rightly guide ourselves. We were not created to live without a Master. We need a Master who gives life, who is life—our Father in heaven. As Scripture says in Romans 7:25, “Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.” As followers of Christ, we are called to live as obedient children—not conforming to the evil desires of our past, but pursuing holiness. “Be holy, because I am holy,” for the one who called us is holy.
