Episode Synopsis

On this edition of TRECcast, we sit down with BOKA Powell Principal-in-Charge Don Powell! This is the final episode of our ‘Transportation Revolution’ podcast series, also sponsored by BOKA Powell, and we talked about the effects that emerging transportation technologies will have on parking. We covered topics like gauging parking requirements for forthcoming real estate developments, whether DFW already has too much parking in commercial developments, and how tomorrow’s transportation needs have caused developers to rethink their parking strategies.

Don launched the firm now known as BOKA Powell more than four decades ago and has helped plan and design more than 35 million square feet of architecture and interiors in his career. Having grown up in a family of builders and working on commercial construction projects by age 13, Don is a real estate lifer. He maintains the best design solutions come from a thorough understanding of the problem and allowing that clarity to drive the process.
