Listen "Ep. 38 - Ed Beamon, still discovering what life has to offer"
Episode Synopsis
Ed Beamon is a man who loves all things cycling. His journey into racing started when he was already in his 20's. He quickly moved through the ranks and eventually became a pro rider for the Scott-Oldsmobile- Bi Kyle Team in 1990. Yet his career as a pro was short lived. He found his true calling when he transitioned into a team manager. The list of teams he's worked with are a who's who of teams from around the world. Ed ran the Navigators Insurance pro squad for 14 seasons, Champion Systems, Team Lipton Women's Pro Cycling to Team TIBCO. Yet, at the moment Ed isn't working in the world of pro cycling. Instead he's moved on to working for a company at the Port of New York and New Jersey. I recently spoke with Ed about his career as a racer, team manager and life in general. After speaking with Ed I feel I've made a new friend. Enjoy!
