My Name is Alan Rapley, and this is my first podcast. I am an ex-Olympic swimmer and keen amateur cyclist now. I am 55 and have not ridden in quite a while. I have agreed to do a charity ride in May 2026 from London to Paris. I am starting at ground zero and recording my progress, whilst talking with some really great people along the way, to get to my goal of riding into Paris, fit, strong and healthy - physically and mentally.
