Listen "S1:E7 Grief: In a Global Pandemic"
Episode Synopsis
This week I invited 3 utterly brave guests to come on the Too Much Racket Podcast to talk about their experience with Grief during the Global Pandemic.
My first guest is the lovely Hollie Boswell whom tells us all about her Nan, Rita. Hollie is especially open and honest about this difficult time in her life and we really hear about what a strong and vibrant character Rita was within her family unit. We also divulge into the difficulties of seeing family members grieve around you.
My second guest is long-time friend Zak Brookes. I find this section of the episode really important as we discuss the passing of Zak's Dog Whisper. Grief of a pet can be especially overlooked by some and so this is a heads up to anyone that: Grief and loss is traumatic, in any form.
My third and final guest is the familiar Amelia from the "Talking Stage" (Episode 6.) Amelia and I talk about the passing of her Nan Val. We delve into the emotional journey of witnessing a relatives illness whilst anticipating grief before your loved one has passed away.
The final section of the episode is with Me, Myself & I. I couldn't possibly not turn the questions back on myself after losing my wonderful Grandad in late 2020. I'm completely open and honest about the emotional experience and I give a true insight to my first interaction with Grief and how utterly rotten it is during a time with COVID-19 restrictions.
