Episode Synopsis
Bitty and Beau's Coffee Shop employing people with disabilities opened in Georgetown. More than 80% of people with IDD are unemployed. In 2016 a North Carolina family opened a coffee shop so their kids Bitty and Beau who have Downs Syndrome had an opportunity for fair employment. They have two dozen shops across the country employing more than 200 people. DC is their latest locations. Check it out on the corner of Wisconsin and M Street NW.
