Hi Tippers! I hope all the dads out there enjoyed father’s day. As it is June 19th, let’s talk about a holiday we hold dear to our hearts, Juneteenth. This commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and if you don’t understand what this holiday represents please do your research. Although it can be a reminder of the cruelty that was, it is important to understand the history behind this day. What are the some good ways to celebrate Juneteenth and how do we continue to advocate for racial injustice? We as a society have to do better job with hate.
