This week Kate talks about building the IB&O (Irondale, Bancroft & Ottawa) Railway in Haliburton County and its 'quirky' start in the late 1800's and driving force Henry Howland. Irondale is part of Haliburton County today. Plus Paul talks about World War II's First Special Service Force or Devil's Brigade - the forerunner for elite units like today's Navy Seals. The Brigade was made up of half Canadian and half American personnel and played a significant role during the war.
