Episode Synopsis

This week on Time Signatures with Jim Ervin, Erv welcomes some true Blues Royalty. Shaun Murphy began her career, of all places, on the main stage at the 1969 Ann Arbor Blues Festival! In 1971, she teamed up on Motown’s Rare Earth label in a group called Stoney and Meatloaf (yup, THAT Meatloaf!). She has had touring stints with the likes of Bob Seger, Eric Clapton, the Moody Blues, Bruce Hornsby, Coco Montoya, and many others. She has also been part of the rock musicals ‘Hair’ and ‘Sgt. Pepper’s’. The multi-BMA nominee and Grammy nominee drops in for a lively discussion about her incredible life in music, her album ‘I’m Coming Home’ and what lies ahead. It’s an amazing program you do not want to miss!Website: https://shaunmurphyband.com/Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/IamShaunMurphySpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1twaZYQvHBNn2eHbY4vc8mYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLc4Ru_NHvApGdxMoQHqPzkUjIWIVfnc2J _________________________Facebook: Time SignaturesYouTube: Time SignaturesFacebook: Capital Area Blues SocietyWebsite: Capital Area Blues SocietyFriends of Time Signatures _______Website: University of Mississippi Libraries Blues ArchiveWebsite: Killer Blues Headstone ProjectWebsite: Blues Society Radio NetworkWebsite: Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation
