In episode 118 of the TigerTalk podcast presented by Northeast Mississippi Community College, host Will Kollmeyer welcomes Northeast president, Dr. Ricky G. Ford, to the podcast as Kollmeyer and Ford sit down to discuss what is happening at the college. In this week's update, Dr. Ford updates listeners with an update to the NJCAA football, basketball and fall sports seasons along with how the college is getting back into the swing of things for the 2020-2021 academic year. Ford reminds all that have not taken the opportunity to register for classes, that now is a great time to get an education and for those who have been through our Orientation program, now is the time to pay fees and get their schedules locked in for the fall. Ford talks about the hours at the Burgess Fitness Center and the changes coming August 1 but also reminds people that things are going to be different as we begin school back in the fall. Ford reminds listeners to lower the COVID-19 curve they must do three things: 1) Maintain proper social distancing, 2) Wear a mask and 3) Wash their hands. Ford also warns those who believe they have been exposed or feel like they have the COVID-19 to stay home and seek medical treatment. Don’t forget that Northeast is the second-ranked community college in the nation for receiving an online education, so if you or someone you know is looking to further their education during the summer or fall semesters, Northeast has a place for you.
