Too many people get into photography because of the tools of the trade. Chloe Lodge's book, "For the Love Of The Photograph" instills in you the idea that one must be first fully present to be successful as a photographer. I consider her book required reading for both professionals who have been at it for a while and for those just getting started in the pursuit of seeing and making photographs. The conversational style of the book is at once endearing, making it exciting to turn the page and learn something totally new and useful. If you are a photographer, I do hope you will consider buying it to read out loud for yourself from time to time.
