In episode 5 of Three for the Show, there’s a flying saucer in Washington DC! This time we are watching the 1951 sci-fi cult classic The Day the Earth Stood Still. In this black and white movie, an alien named Klaatu arrives on Earth with a powerful robot to deliver an ultimatum: humanity must live peacefully or face destruction. Susan and Todd have both seen this movie, but it is the first time for Roger, which makes him our “Newman.” Will Roger save the day or sell us out to the military? Will Susan face Gort alone amongst a sea of chairs? Will Todd’s itchy trigger finger be the death of us all?
