Episode Synopsis

What do you do when you lose your mum suddenly at a tender age of 22 and have to care for 3 other siblings? A mum who’s your pillar of strength and direction, a hardworking, cheerful giver who goes out of her way to help others?
Come listen as Agnes shares what it feels like to lose someone dear, stepping up to be a leader in the family: struggling to care for a sibling with bipolar disorder, juggling to finish study and put food on the table for the rest, and the long arduous grief journey that span almost 10 years.
In our conversation, what shines through is the memory of the strong, loving personality of Agnes’ mum and the legacy she leaves behind that shaped Agnes.
We ask you to enter a “no judgement zone”, to listen with an open mind and empathetic heart , with the hope that it may spur you to positive action in your own struggle experience.
There is something to be learned about digesting the experience of others to put your own trials and tribulations into perspective; a perspective that encourages rather than deflates. turning threads of struggles into the larger picture of your life.
